Energy-Conservation Activities
As a specified business operator under the Act on the Rational Use of Energy and Conversion to Non-Fossil Energy (Energy Conservation Act), JACCS Group is working to reduce its energy consumption.
Energy consumption in fiscal year 2024 is estimated at 1,545 kl of crude oil, a slight increase from the previous year. However, the five-year average rate of change in unit energy consumption is a reduction of 6.1%, achieving the 1% target required by the Energy Conservation Act.
The Company pursues reductions in energy usage through such measures as installation of LED lighting, thorough enforcement of a policy of turning off lights that are not in use, setting office equipment to power-saving mode, and promoting the adoption of eco-friendly vehicles in the Group’s vehicle fleet. In addition, the Group strives to reduce its volume of paper consumption by promoting the digitization of operational processes.
