Human Rights Due Diligence

Implementation and Process of Human Rights Due Diligence

The JACCS Group will establish a human rights due diligence system based on our human rights policy to prevent or mitigate negative impacts on human rights. When it becomes clear that our business activities have directly caused negative impacts on human rights, or when it becomes clear that we have contributed to such impacts, we will work on correction and remedy.
Additionally, when our products and services are directly linked to human rights violations through business relationships, we will work to encourage corrective action.

1. Impact Identification and Assessment

We have identified risk items that could have negative impacts on human rights in the JACCS Group's business activities and developed a "Human Rights Risk Map" by evaluating them on two axes: severity and likelihood of occurrence. We prioritize addressing human rights issues with high severity. This human rights risk map will be regularly reviewed in the future.

2. Prevention and Mitigation Measures

The JACCS Group will implement prevention and mitigation measures for each identified human rights risk. Specific initiatives will include educational and awareness activities such as training implementation, and the development of internal systems and workplace environments.

➀Priority Human Rights Risks to Address

Harassment

We have established a consultation window within the company for sexual harassment, abuse of authority, and other issues. We respond to consultations through various means including interviews, telephone, and email, working to create a workplace environment where employees can continue to work with peace of mind and vitality. We also strive to ensure that each employee correctly understands and recognizes these issues through continuous awareness-raising based on training and by presenting regulations and manuals related to harassment.

Examples of Specific Initiatives

  • Continuous awareness-raising regarding workplace harassment
  • Maintaining a strict punishment stance for problematic cases
  • Establishment of internal reporting system (hotline)

Occupational Safety and Health

Regarding mental health measures, the company, occupational physicians, and health insurance association work together to prevent mental health issues by implementing stress checks and workplace visits, aiming to "create workplaces that don't produce people with mental health issues."

Long Working Hours

The JACCS Group actively promotes the correction of long working hours, recognizing that it is important for the company that each employee continues to work with peace of mind and vitality in both physical and mental health. Worker fatigue is said to be linked to decreased productivity, increased turnover, and increased illness, and we strive to reduce excessive work risks so that people can lead physically and mentally healthy lives.

➁Implementation of Education

As part of internal education aimed at improving human rights awareness and reducing risks, we implement e-learning for all employees and training by hierarchical levels.

➂Development of Internal Environment and Systems

We actively promote the development of various regulations aimed at creating a comfortable work environment, health management, and DE&I.

➃Supply Chain Management

We will strive to understand the status of human rights respect initiatives among our supply chain partners.

3. Monitoring

As a promotion structure for realizing the JACCS Group Human Rights Policy, we have established a "Human Rights Committee" specialized in human rights response under the Sustainability Committee directly under the Board of Directors. Under this structure, the JACCS Group will work on improving human rights awareness and strengthening human rights management in a unified manner through the implementation of human rights due diligence, education on human rights issues, and the establishment and operation of a human rights consultation window.

4. Information Disclosure

Various information regarding the promotion of human rights respect will be explained and disclosed through integrated reports, websites, and other means.
